Community Trips, Made by the People Who Travel With Us

Shorter, smaller and often proposed by members themselves. This is the part of Travel Fitoor that is a community rather than a company.

What a community trip actually is.

Less produced than a group departure, and that is the point.

  • Shorter than a full departure. Often a long weekend rather than ten days
  • Smaller too. Frequently six to ten people rather than a full group
  • Often proposed by someone in the community who wants company on a route they already love
  • Lighter on structure. One anchor a day and the rest genuinely open
  • Costs shared transparently rather than packaged. You see what things cost
  • Still coordinated, so nobody is left holding the logistics alone

How these differ from our group departures.

Both are good. They are good at different things, and it is worth knowing which you want.

Scale and structure

A group departure is planned end to end months ahead. A community trip is lighter, shorter and decided closer to the date.

Who sets the route

Departures are routes we have researched and walked. Community trips often come from a member who knows one place well.

What you are paying for

Departures are priced as a managed trip. Community trips share costs openly, with coordination rather than packaging.

How a trip gets proposed.

  • Someone tells us the place, a rough window and why it is worth going
  • We sanity-check the route, the season and what it will realistically cost
  • If it holds up, we open it to the community with honest numbers attached
  • If enough people want in, it runs. If not, it waits for a better window
  • We will tell you when a proposed trip does not work, and why

If you would rather join something already planned and fully managed, look at our group trips instead.

Who it suits.

People who travel often

You do not need the trip explained. You want decent company and someone else handling the bookings.

People testing the water

A long weekend with a small group is a low-stakes way to find out whether group travel suits you at all.

People with a route to share

You know somewhere properly and would like to take a few people. Tell us and we will help make it happen.

Got somewhere in mind, or want to hear what is next?

Tell us the place and the window. We will sanity-check it and open it to the community if it holds up.
